Description: Gold Exploration Project
Licence Granted: 5 Jan 2011/ 17 Jan 2011
Characteristics: Two adjacent concessions straddle the Gori Hills greenstone belt. The area has produced alluvial gold for decades in proximity to primary occurrences that are now identified and being mined. Exploration activity in the Sandaru licence on alluvial occurrences pointed to the likelihood of primary gold occurrences in the Gori Hills to the west. Systematic exploration by means of structural interpretation, stream sediment sampling, soil sampling, pitting and trenching was conducted in 2011. The result of this work is that one area of primary mineralisation, the N’Jama area, is clearly defined as well as several other areas requiring detailed follow up. Drill testing of the N’Jama area will commence early 2012 on gold bearing quartz mineralisaton in a mafic host.
